Senator Gildon joins a bipartisan group of legislators calling on Governor Inslee to delay implementation of the long-term care payroll tax. This delay will allow legislators time to address some of the key issues such as better defining the opt-out process, determine whether veteran’s benefits qualify for an exemption, and avoid further disruptions in the private insurance market.
“These issues, as well as many others, were known and ignored by the majority party during the 2019 debate on this bill and now we are rushing to the deadline years later while they are still unresolved,” said Gildon.
